Blogger WidgetsHow to prevent hackers

Cybercrime is increasing day by day. Many of you might have been victims of your email accounts being hacked or your Face book password not working; maybe your password might have been hacked by a hacker. Not a good news ….. right ?
The way to keep you sites and accounts secure is by knowing how hackers hack password and what can be done to prevent them. Let’s talk about this !

The Keyloggers- This is one of the basic tools used for getting your passwords. Keylogger resides in your system memory and runs at every start up. These keyloggers log all the keystrokes you type. When a log is created and it sends to the Hacker.

Trojan Horse- These are the most common type of malwares. Trojans spread in warez sites mostly. All of you want free software. Be cautious ! When you download software from warez sites, all the key gens and patches and even the original trial programs are trojaned. This means you will get the software and the Trojan horse for free!
When you run the software you’ll get the desired output, but in background, your system gets infected with the Trojan. And Trojan makes the way for the hackers to get access into your system.

Remote Accessing tools- With a Remote accessing tool, a hacker can access your system remotely. He can see what you are doing! He can copy any file from your hard drive, can destroy your whole system.

Prevention-
1.       Use some good licensed anti-virus and make sure that your anti-virus is updating. I prefer Norton and kaspersky.
2.       Always keep your windows firewall turned on.
3.       Use a strong password.
4.       Be careful about using free wi-fi.
5.       Try to download software from trusted websites.
6.       Change your sites password more often.
7.       Avoid pop-up windows.
8.       Do not visit any entrusted link.
9.       Do not let your browser to keep save the account ID, email and password.
10.   Do not run .exe files.
11.   Close your autorun option for USB plug-in.
12.   Monitor your system, is there any systems setting changed automatically.  If you think that your PC is infected then delete any delicate data. Getting rid of Trojan is not an easy task, most of the anti-virus can`t even locate it. Most of the times people have to erase their hard drive.
